Drainage has an integral role to play on any infrastructure project and highways are no different. Despite the integral nature of its role, our survey of highways and infrastructure engineers has shown cause for concern in how drainage is currently implemented and managed. 

• 55% have worked on a project where maintenance of drainage is not considered
• 99% claim they have faced at least one barrier to implementing SuDS schemes
• 53% agreed that wildlife mitigation is an afterthought during the planning phase
